First stop in Holland was Salt and Pepper’s. It was a little dark inside but they had a great outdoor seating area. Ordered the French dip and it was perfect. Really loved the horseradish sauce that came on the side. Also tried my first taste of an olive burger which seems to be quite popular in MI.

A wonderful experience!. On very short notice, Salt & Pepper staff was able to accommodate a group of 16 of us on a very busy Saturday evening. The service was excellent, the food delicious and the atmosphere was fun. It was a wonderful evening!

Pub?. I stopped one day on a whim ’cause I wanted a beer, and the sign looked like I could get one.The interior of this ‘pub’ is wonderfully decorated and segmented – the (sports) bar taking the front portion, a dining area in the rear, a superbly appointed private dining room to one side, and to the other generous patio seating. The menu is filled with some good standard fare, as well as some wonderfully-sounding (and as it turns out, prepared) dishes. We have tried their sandwiches (generous and well put together), their soups (delightful and full flavored), as well as their appetizers (at least one – jumbo shrimp and artichoke hearts with sun-dried tomatoes in an oil and light vinegar dressing).Moderately prices and we shared our diing room with a couple of families with little children (very well behaved!), and a family birthday party of some note. Very restrained, comfortable dining experience, which the wait staff completed extraordinarily – not hovering, but seeming always there when wanted. This is definitely a ‘destination’ for dining, as you are unlikely to ‘run across’ it my accident (as I happened to). But please be encouraged to seek it out and give it a try. You will NOT be disappointed.

1st time here – not the last time – many more to come. Everything including the service was wonderful!

Good!. I’ve been to Salt and Pepper a few times and always enjoyed it. I highly recommend the waffle fries, they’re so delicious! Service has always been prompt and friendly.

The kitchen stayed open for us even though we showed up after 10. The staff was great and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Everyone loved their entrees and even the Rosemary bread in the bread basket was outstanding. They have an extensive list of local microbrews and the Hard Arnie was yummy. Wish they’d build a second Salt and Pepper in GRap so we could eat there more often.

Right on!. This is not your traditional Holland Michigan outdated eat spot. The menu is interesting, offering a great selection of drinks and dishes. The atmosphere is interesting and fun. Best of all, the food is actually really good!
