Excellent homemade tasting salsa set the tone. The nachos in the salsa flight were fresh and warm and served with a trio of salsas. The four of us argued over which one was best. There wasnt a clear winner. The arbol had a slight edge over the verde and the chipotle. I had 3 different street tacos. The chorizo verde, pollo, and the carnitas. All of them were flavorful with distinct flavors. Two of my friends raved about the mahi tacos. The other, had enchiladas verde. She knows good Mexican food and declared it a winner. The service was good on the outdoor patio. Overall, a great lunch!

Last weeks Taco Tuesday took me not to far from my hometown, to The Barrio in downtown Plymouth. The restaurant is nestled nicely in the quaint downtown, with captivating Mexican Skull Murals on the wall, and Sedona Color Palette to complete the environment. Finally, about the food. The meal started with Mexican Skillet Nachos, which are only $5 on Tuesdays! These nachos were very well done with premium ingredients, as were the Carne Asada Tacos that were the perfect size, comprised of a great flavorful blend. Lastly, the Mexican Street Corn was a great authentic dish, on top of the sweet ear of corn was Cotija Cheese, Lime Mayo, and Paprika!!Overall, The Barrio was reasonably priced with exceptional quality. Mexican to me goes downhill very fast with most cheap places, but The Barrio serves up great food without charging an arm and a leg.

Top notch Mexican cuisine! The margaritas are the best. Hand crafted & smooth…ordered a pitcher & drank every last drop! Hipster ambiance but can get very crowded. No reservations. Get there early!

Good soup. We met friends for dinner, waited 45 minutes outside as there was no waiting area. Got seated and was glad for water right away. Ordered drinks, margarita was ok, not the best I’ve had. I had the tortilla soup, it was good. Had one of my husbands chorizo tacos, it was good but overpriced. Three small tacos should be $7.50 not 9.00. Will be back. Fun atmosphere.
