Unimpressed. I’ve been here several times over the course of the last few years. When it was the first to offer outdoor dining on Main Street, I frequented semi-regularly for salad and bread during lunch time. But there is one thing that has remained consistent with this place….horrible service and hostesses. The hostesses seem to all feel bothered by the mere fact you exist. As if, you were their only problem in life and if you the diner would disappear they could go back to talking about their prom dates and nail polish. The service has always been touch and go, I have had some good servers, really bad servers and just mediocre service. Mostly though…its always slow service. The food, I know I’ve eaten several dishes here (never the pizza though…which I hear is AWESOME) and I do like their Whitefish dish…but other than that…it weasn’t anything to write home about and definitely not worth the hype or the prices. I’m not impressed….
Consistently good food – daily specials, the white fish, chicken in lemon sauce, and pizza are all good – we usually ask for crust made extra thin. Like the roast garlic and the steak appetizers, too. Pizza is as other reviewer said, like pizza from my child, hood when if you wanted a pie, you went to the local Italian restaurant. This is before the wide spread of pizza chains lowered the standard. Love the warm, wooden bar which makes up most of one wall of the restaurant and helps set a warm, casual, pub-like atmosphere. Nice choice of wines by the glass to complement your meal. Granted, restaurant is small and it can get a little noisy inside. Nice weather brings comfortable sidewalk seating right in downtown Plymouth which is very nice at both lunch or dinner. This place is nice for a bit romantic yet casual date.
