Often good, but inconsistent. My mom likes to go here frequently, so we have had many experiences here and find that it is pretty hit or miss. Certain menu items are always good, while others are inconsistent. I love the chicken salad sandwich and the roasted vegetable sandwich. They are decent portions for lunch and usually very flavorful. Some sandwiches, however (the tomato/basil/mozzarella, for example) are often bland and dry. I’ve also found that some of the hot dinner items are terribly small portions, with no real sides, and they are simply not worth the price you pay for them. We do like the salads, though. I haven’t had a bad one yet.My kids love the kids’ menu items, particularly the chicken fingers (higher quality than the usual restaurant chicken fingers), angel hair pasta, and soup. The service is usually friendly, and they are attentive, even to the kids. The live music they sometimes have at night is also nice. All in all, it’s usually a good experience, but we have to go without expectations, because sometimes it’s just not as good as usual.

Deli or Restaurant?. I don’t know if this place is supposed to be a deli or a restaurant. I have never been there for lunch but I assume it has a very different atmosphere (i.e. serving a lunch crowd deli style). This restaurant is small and has a nice atmosphere for dinner. It is very casual and has an elevated noise level. I don’t have a problem with that but some do.The food was very good, especially for the price. The menu is not all that novel or sophisticated but it works very well for a quick and cheap meal.

Nico & Vali’s is the perfect place to drop in for a delicious casual meal in the summer. You had your choice of indoor or outdoor patio dining. Simple concise menu of food & wine. Whether you were going for full course Italian or drinks & appetizers, you could find it there. Also you can taste the difference between fresh & food that’s been pre-cooked then heated. Their food is FRESH! Plus asked if I could have a slight change of sauce from what was on the menu & they made me exactly what I wanted. They have great vegetarian menu options too. The staff on hand were all super friendly, attentive and helpful with their personal favorites for recommendations and made sure you were enjoying your meal. Two thumbs up from this discriminating customer, we’ll definitely go back.

Disappointing dinner. Spaghetti carbonara was obviously reheated (from prior day?): a dried out, stuck together clump of pasta. It was unappetizing to the eye and taste. Vegetarian lasagne comes with a white sauce not a tomato sauce. This should be noted on the menu. Moreover, this was not a typical alfredo sauce, it was bland and tasteless. Finished with a cannoli that was below average. We won’t be back.

Love. I drove past this place so many times and had never been in. I had no idea what I was missing. From the casual but cute decor, to the patio that reminds me of a cafe in Chicago or New York, to the delicious food this is now my favorite hidden gem in Plymouth. I am torn between recommending everyone I know and wanting to keep it to myself so the wait times don’t skyrocket.

Never a bad experience. I have never had a bad experience here. I have been several times for lunch and admit that it can be a bit pricey for a weekday lunch, but it is very tasty. I also will admit that the menu board can be very overwhelming at first and when ordering to go, you kinda feel like the person at the register is staring at you while you read this massive sandwich board….but whatever. They also have takehome dinners in a cooler and I have had the pesto and it was AWESOME!My only wish, that I had been during a warm day so I could take advantage and sit outside!

All dishes I’ve had here have been tasty and well-portioned, which is good because it leaves room for their great desserts. From breakfast egg dishes to dinner ravioli its all been very good. One consistent downside is that all 4 times I’ve visited the waiter delivers the food, checks up on us once, and then disappears. Each time I’ve then run out of drink and had to hunt an employee down for a refill.
