I read the reviews and was a little skeptical. Fortunately, I decided to try it and form my own opinion. First, the atmosphere is nice and the service was very good. I had a quesadilla for appetizer that was good. It was a bit dry but good. I had a steak that was excellent. They also have a nice beer selection and everything was very reasonably priced. I could not have had a comparable meal at any mid range chain that would have come close to this price and the food was better than anything in the general area. I recommend this restaurant and will be back.

Got there to check in and oh…we Do not take reservations. They need to better inform their employee’s of their policy…what a way to start a dinner …Very dissatisfied
Just finished my first meal at Freighter’s. Very disappointed. Waited almost 2 hours for out food. My steak was totally over cooked and my garlic mashed potatoes were hard as a rock. The views were awesome but that was about it for the positives.
We have been to Freighters a couple times. The last time was for our anniversary. I ordered the fish and chips and my husband ordered the twisted Mac and cheese. It was wonderful the Fish just melted in my mouth. The service was great and the view of the river was beautiful!!
Good food, great server. My wife & I have eaten at The Freighter’s many times & lately have always requested Amy R’s section so we know we’ll have the best of service. She’s gracious, efficient, and gets our orders perfect every time because she talks to the chefs personally whenever possible. Amy makes her customers feel so comfortable they always want to go back there. JB
