Appetizers were good. Beer selection also good. Ordered 4 meals and 3 of 4 were not that good. This was my second time coming. Not good at all. Service was very good but food was sub-par. I’m only taking 2 strikes for this one. Not coming back.

Love this place!. Lots to love here. As an avid outdoorsman, I love the decor. The food has always been good, especially the ribs and the pan-fried trout. (Just like I used to cook it growing up!) My kids love to watch the train overhead, also.
Not Sure. I’m torn between liking this place and not liking it. It seems like the food can be hit or miss; the soups always seem to come out warm or slightly cool. It may also be time to do some upgrades to the interior; maybe remove a table or two in the dinning room so I’m not right on top of the next table. I always get bumped when people try to walk by.That being said, I have never had a problem with the ribs or pizza. The pizza is pretty good and the ribs are excellent. Gilbert’s is in a good location, but they need to start making some changes.Update (10-15-13): A fire broke out that burned down the interior. Looks like they will be remodeling if they chose to rebuild.
Not impressed. If you like being squished into a restaurant where you can hear the people next to you better than the person across from you this is your place. The inside desperately needs to be done. The service was slow and bad. The food was nothing to write home about. I even gave it a second chance and the same thing happened. What a disappointment.
Not impressed. Went here with my family the other day. I had high hopes because I had read some good reviews. I ordered the buffalo burger, because, well i love buffalo burgers. I ordered it medium, and it came dead. I mean they killed this thing twice. So unbelievably dry. On top of that the fries were cold. The pizza that my wife and mother shared, was bland.
Best Buffalo Burger. Whenever I find myself East side, I have to have a buffalo burger from Gilbert’s. I don’t know what makes it so much more flavorful and juicy than other places, maybe the meat is fresher, I don’t know.Gilbert’s is a family friendly pub/restaurant with a fun, cheesy Hunting Lodge theme. There are animal heads on the walls, lots of exposed wood, and the otherwise standard bar fare is enhanced with a few Trapper touches, such as Moose Wings, Bear Claws, etc.The bar itself is not amazing. Not much selection. A Blue Moon is the only option for beer snobs, maybe a Stella. But Oh! That Buffalo Burger!!!
