Best Perch. I saw where there are some reviews that are not too good, I can’t say this, I have been coming here for many years and I never ever had a bad meal, I always love the perch so much I always order it, but I really want to try the Walnut Chicken, looks like I will be coming twice in one week.
HORRIBLE. The Restaurant is out of control! The Owner has 2 young girls now in management positions along with a man who doesn’t know management from a hole in the ground. He fired the other Manager who did know what was going on. Then he cuts his own throat and fires the Chef. Randy Firestine is a fabulous chef with many years of cooking in famous restaurants and country clubs. So please don’t expect your next experience of atmosphere and food to be too pleasurable. Maybe the Owner should let some professionals run the restaurant and stop taking all the advise from his 23 year girlfriend!
Will never go back…. My wife and I ate here one evening, she got perch, I got cod and we split an order of fried pickles. It was good bar food, the lady who waited on us was pleasant and overall it was a nice night. The second time we went back, we got the same things to eat, but oh man… The bread had mold on it, the fries were soggy, neither of us got as much in either of our orders of fish that the menu called for, and whoever was running the fryer that day didn’t know what he was doing. The capper was the waitress- she was the rudest, flat-out bitchiest waitress I’ve ever seen. The couldn’t even look up from sending text messages on her phone to ask us what we wanted. One of the few times I didn’t leave a tip.
Seriously disappointed with food quality under new management. I can no longer recommend. What a shame.17 Sep, 2010Still the place for perch!. I have been coming to Pat O’Briens for years — always for the first class perch. A few years ago there was a change in ownership. But the perch remained the number one restaurant item, and its quality has been maintained. There are other items on a fairly extensive menu, but I have made no effort to expand my horizons. The tenor of the place changes after about 9 p.m., when the families are gone and the place becomes more of a sports bar.
Good. This is always a good place to go. I like the outdoor patio during the summer time. It is a little on the more expensive side but your guaranteed a great meal.
Ate here two months ago, and can honestly say it was the worst meal I have ever ate in my life. Salt, salt, salt!!!!!
By far the BEST in the area! The burgers are ground fresh daily (from local meat market) , the chef does a fantastic job from homemade dressings to perfectly cooked entrees. Highly recommend. Oh, the service is awesome too!
