Best Thai Restaurant around!. I think I’ve been to every Thai restaurant in metro-Detroit & Sy Thai in the Shores is by far my favorite. My daughter and I crave their food so often we have been known to order 3x / week. Now the first place she HAS to go when she is on break from college is Sy Thai, lol. I have NEVER had a bad meal, whether dining in or carry-out!
I went around noon and ordered the Pad Thai with tofu, mild spice and Tom Yum soup mild spice. It was busy with 2-3 orders in front of mine, but I still was walking out the door 15 minutes after ordering. I’m not sure the food lived up to all the hype. The Pad Thai noodles were clearly not cooked in the sauce. When I opened my container, the bare noodles were sitting on just enough sauce to lightly coat the noodles. The Tom Yum was tasty, but I only had four small pieces in my soup. Overall, the food was alright, but I’ve had much better at the Thai Orchid in Mt. Clemens and Khom Fai in Shelby Twp.
