.We visited Uncle Harry’s Deli today and we were very pleasantly surprised.It’s sort of tucked in between two businesses, and could be easilymissed. We thought it was cozy, it has a lot of character. The Reuben’s were very tasty, and we thought the matzo ball soup was delicious. The potato pancakes were ok. They seemed processed. We were really happy to see pie on the menu. Not many places offer pie, particularly pie that is good! We’re happy to have found Uncle Harry’s, but it’s pricey. In fact, I thought there as an error with the bill. The higher prices will most likely keep us from being regulars.
Corned beef sandwiches could be bigger. This place has tasty corned beef sandwiches but they are overpriced and under stacked with meat. Their cole slaw is very good.
My favorite. I have had the pleasure of eating at most of the Jewish delis in the Detroit area and this one is my favorite. From the homemade soups and deserts to the wonderful sandwiches and dinner specials I keep coming back. I can always find something new to try and have never been disappointed. You have to love an establishment that has continued to put out such a quality product for some many years. Kudos to Rick and his team!
Cute Deli. Unfortunately for the one of the other reviews on this page, they managed to order one of few bad things on the menu. Yes, the latkes suck, but I guarantee they will suck at any other deli that offers them in Grosse Pointe or St. Clair Shores. There are incredible soups as well as excellent sandwiches that should not be missed. If you’re interested in Deli food come here, save the latkes for somewhere else.
Great deli. Excellent matzo ball soup and classic deli sandwiches with first ingredients. If you like deli you will love Uncle Harry’s.
