Shellfish!. Just want to take a few lines to express how happy three of us were last night with our appetizer choices. Chose a dozen Oysters On The Half Shell first. Nice serving presentation of fresh, large and tasty Oysters. Emphasis on large. Finished those, and switched over to a pound of Mussels served in a White Wine Reduction. Blissful! If you’re not shellfish intolerant, you would like these appetizer choices very, very much!

  • So.

Disappointment. This is old when we visited but I’d never go again. Instead of cooking my family decided we should go out to dinner. Some how they came to a consensus of Waves. Now, when we arrived it was extremely crowded and expected on thanksgiving. It was a buffet. Offered a pretty large variety but all of it was in vain if it was all subpar. It was processed food, lackluster, the food wasn’t even hot. It was overpriced. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Not a restaurant, this is food service. Waves has enticing appearance and pleasant decor. It goes down hill from there in a hurry. I had a salmon ceasar salad and Cuban pork egg rolls. The fish served might have bee fresh 3 days ago but not today. It was bland and it actually had a smell and texture of something that had been previously frozen. The salad itself was somewhat wilted and the dressing dry, both suggesting it had probably been made early the day before and had been in the fridge ever since. Even the egg rolls taste suggested that this was something from the grocer’s freezer. The service was poor, the food bland. This reminded me of school cafeteria food served in a nice building. Save your money, you could make everything on the menu at home, with better ingredients and for far less money. You could also spare yourself from poor service from the waitresses who were far too busy chatting in the kitchen to be bothered with customers. Don’t walk away from Waves, drive away and don’t look back.
