Pricey for this Place. Took our son and his girlfriend out for dinner as he was home from college and on the way to the South for a job interview-a spur of the moment celebration. Today on this Monday April 7th, there really wasn’t too many folks at the time we came in, was met by an energetic gentlemen who sat us down quickly. Our server came in and she asked us for drinks and from there it went steadily downhill. For the prices you would think they could offer a little more than a very small cup of dressing for a salad, which my son got. Then for the entree’s both my wife and son’s girlfriend got nothing more than that. No dinner salad, no soup, crackers, bread or anything else. For $16 a plate they got a bowl of noodles, sauce and chicken. I did order a dinner salad and the plate was never picked up by the server. Eventually I placed it at the table next to us and some time later she picked it up though passing by it several times before. She was not very outgoing nor offered any suggestions. I ordered the beef nachos and instead got chicken nachos. I did not bother to announce the problem or change it as it was taking forever for service anyways. Paid and not even a thanks for coming in. An $85 (w/tip) dinner bill for four. Way too expensive for South Lyon let alone any Pub & Grub, which this place is-realistically on par as a 2-Star restaurant. We’ll skip this place for the path forward, they need to assess their prices, most definitely their service, and finally, what they offer with their meals (which is nothing right now). Of course, my opinion only, caveat emptor.
Good Option. I stopped in for lunch with 5 of my friends. They easily accommodated us without any hassle. The staff was very friendly and did exceptionally well. The beer selection is pretty good with a strong local craft beer representation. We all ended up with one of their different burgers; I had the ‘Merica’s Sunrise. It came with bacon, American cheese, and an over easy egg on an English muffin. The beef was cooked to order and the over easy egg was nice and runny still. I also opted for the onion rings which were really good; they weren’t over- or under-breaded and had the perfect amount of crunch to them.Overall, if I’m in the South Lyon area again I will definitely stop by Lake Street Tavern. The food was good and the beer selection was enough to make me happy.
LOVE this place.. My husband and I absolutely love this place. The service has been great. The food even better. It’s plated beautifully. The space is classy. It’s something South Lyon has needed to bring it’s image up a bit. The price of the food is great as well.
