What I like about this little place is that the simple custard cones are the best. I also find a lot of the flavor of the week good … I really would find it hard to see why you would not like it here.
Legendary. Been going here for over 50 years. The original and still the best. I can’t believe they are still going strong. Yes, you can go home again!
Great family place to eat frozen custard! You drive by it all winter long waiting for spring to come..it looks sad during the winter months. But as soon as their lights come on.. You know it’s summer time! The lines are long as heck! But don’t let that change your mind about stopping in.. The service is super fast! I have never waited more than 4 minutes to get to the front and get my ice cream.. My wife and I have been going for years… It’s a summer time staple in our family.. Ya gotta check it out.. The owner always finds a way to hire the best of the best employees every year..
Classic ice cream/custard stand… Best custard I have ever tried! Still looks like it.did back in the 40s…this place is awesome. Remember this place is old school so cash only and only open during warm weather months. Always packed! Try it and you will see why!
Custard Flavor of the week!. I have been going to this place since I was a kid, a true staple to summer time in downriver!! The line may look long but it actually goes very quick and the service is very friendly.I order the samething everytime…. the custard flavor of the week! The portions are huge and me being a very big eater I stillonly get a medium! It does change on a weekly basis and no matter what it is, it’s always great! Toasted coconut happens to be of of the toppings offered, which is truely wonderful!I haven’t looked for them in a while but when I was a kid they used to offer a chocolate covered frozen banana which was awesome! Take the time to stop by and pass on this little slice of history on to some youngsters to keep the tradition going! Enjoy!
CUSTARD BLISS. Ah Yes Bob Jo’s is now open for another season serving those great custard cones downriver since 1947. The daughter and I just returned with a belly full on half and half jumbo custard cones. The place is always lined up and well worth the 5 minute wait to order at the window.
