  OMG great Sushi on a Buffet Yes I crave itI just love this place for some of the best Sushi I’ve had for a small price I load up on 2 dozen pieces of freshly prepared sushi with the chef always at the bar taking your special requests. The other buffet items are also good with my fav the Hot and Sour soup. Yes you can get great Sushi at a buffet, give them a try for $7 and feel your cravings on the cheap. albeerpoe.blogspot.com

  A Best Buy! A Hidden Diamond of Detroit, Well Worth the Find.. Probably Best Chinese or regular buffet in 50 miles for many reasons. 1st, $6.99 lunch, $10.99 dinner, and $1.35 sodas. 2nd, great always hot food at bar, when out usually replaced food items in 30sec. 3rd: fast,nice Chinese waitresses refilling drinks and clearing the empty plates fast. 4th: Sushi bar is always staffed and well stocked. 5th: Recently remodeled, immaculately clean bathrooms and food bar areas. Three hot bars, salad/fruit bar, sushi station,and dessert bar with 6 flavors of ice cream, are excellent. 30 spaces for hot food chicken, beef,pork, shrimp, and vegetables, plus 3 soups: egg dop, hot & sour, and wonton. Tucked between Dollar Tree and Chuck E Cheese, this strip mall has free, easy, and plenty of parking. I have seen it busy but never a line to wait for a table. Food turnover is fast and even when not busy small batches constantly made are fresh. SouthGate is blessed with two great buffets a mile apart. My wife and I drive 25 miles from Belleville/Ypsilanti since the slow sad demise of Ruby’s of Canton and CharHouse of Belleville ( and Westland ), to find the first All American buffet last October. We were told about ( Great ) Dragon Buffet and finally in December tried Dragon. We have now gone almost exclusively to Dragon about 30 times since we dine out 4 times a week. Lunch for two with two sodas and tax $17.68, dinner $26.16 for the same. A very family friendly restaurant, and we also like it as they do NOT serve alcohol so no loud and obnoxious drunks, and if you host here no one can run up your bill! ; ) Lunch: salmon, one shrimp dish, 1 or 2 beef, 1 or 2 pork, General Tso’s, Honey chicken, wings, nuggets, plus 3 to 5 more chicken dishes, stufffed (and NOT) mushrooms,freedom fries, crab ragoon, garlic bread, 6 to 10 other hot vegetable dishes. Dinner: same as lunch PLUS 4,5 shrimp dishes, mussels cold and hot, and sushi area has skewered shrimp, thin beef steak, and thin pork steak all in self serve bed of sauteed veggies. A MUST for fast great food, and unlike Golden Corral and Fire Mountan ( Westland )pay AFTER you eat. Except for Golden Corral’s excellent breakfasts, skip lunch and dinner in Westland, and try SouthGate’s Dragon Buffet or neaby All American Buffet.
