Sauce was waaaay too sweet. From all the posted signs(no ballons/outside food, no refunds, cash only), it appears they are not a friendly customer base business who prefers their customers not to sit, eat & enjoy themselves. I’m amazed this place is still opened. I have no plans to return. I’d rather buy a frozen pizza and deal with the self checkout register at Meijers.
Hands down best pizza I have ever had, I make a 100 mile round trip 2-3 times a month, x-tra sauce recommended.
The best antipasto salad I’ve ever had!! Their dressing is fantastic! You get so many toppings I usually ask for the cheese to come on the side.
Of course I like to do a follow up if I to see if my first review holds true. This time we did a carryout, it took about 30 minutes, no big deal there are enough businesses around that you can leave do quick shopping and pop right back in (or just call ahead). Nevertheless this is what I would tell a new customer to get. Just under $30 you can get an X-Large pizza with pepperoni and a large salad with their house dressing. This I assure you will feed four excessive overeaters to the MAX, six hungry people or up to eight light eaters easy, by the way the food was outstanding, hope this helps take care04 Nov, 2012A diabetics nightmare…lol. I have been going to this place for a lot of years and you ask is that good? Well 20 plus years back they were one of the top filthiest places downriver (as listed in the newspaper.) So how could they stay in business? Well it is the food, funny how people can overlook things when the food is good. So lets get current, today the place has been remolded and looks a lot better, now I cannot speak for what the kitchen looks like but it has changed over the years. The key here is that the food is sweet and that is either a like or a dislike, and no in between. If you like Franks in Wyandotte you will not like this, the crust has a ton of sugar, and the sauce has a ton of sugar this is like candy in a box. They do put a TON of cheese on the pizza and a large is a true large like back in the old days, the party pizza is HUGE also like it should be. As for the salad, outstanding, light on the lettuce and heavy on everything else, cheese, meat, vegetables, they give you a HUGE plate for a family of four. However, the house dressing is the key here its pure sugar and lick smacking at its best. Everything is old school and good, sometimes the service can be better, but the killer can be all the carryouts that may delay your food if you eat in. To me this is Michigan pizza
The pizza is great! The house italian dressing is on the sweet side. It reminds me of a poppyseed dressing sweetness but with olive oil in it. The sauce is on the sweet side also. I happen to prefer a slightly acidic sauce. And this foots the bill. Its a bit discouraging that they dont take credit or debit card, however they have an atm in the resturant.
Amazing Food. Great Pizza and Salads. I highly recommend the house dressing. Probably some of the best pizza I have ever eaten. I would not recommend dining in – the atmosphere is pretty dated at best. One concern – you cannot pay with a debit card. It’s time to get out of the 80’s Romas.
Best Downriver Pizza. When I want a special pizza for guests I turn to them. The large party size. The same eating in. Very Good. The sauce is a little on the sweet side. This does cut down the acidity of the tomato sauce. Perfect.
