Fruits and veg. Wonderful produce – cheap and always fresh
Gran Mercado y la comida preparada. I read some reviews for the store and have visited it several times on short grocery runs. The produce is fresh and cheap, the meat selection is huge, and there is a large variety of mexican grocery items. Worth the drive. I only wish I lived closer. It’s a little hard to find so be sure to mapquest directions. I finally had a chance to try the prepared food and ordered the taco lunch which was served up quickly. The carne asada tacos were really good! Grilled coarse slices of beef with white onion, cilantro with a lime wedge. The beans and rice were also good. The weather was nice so I dined al fresco at the outside tables.A great deal for $3.99. I can’t wait to try the Tortas!Update: Made it back for the Tortas and tried the Milanesa. Great Sandwich – chewy Bolillo, thin breaded beef and toppings (got it w/everything) all great. Very satisfying.
GUACAMOLE!. OMG!…they sell the best guacamole, so fresh and delicious!
Quality selection and atmosphere. Great selection of beautiful produce at prices lower than any major grocery store. there is also more variety, especially with the mexican options (obviously).the beer and wine selection also looked impressive with a combo of mexican varieties as well as typical and local options (i.e., bud light, bell’s beer).the store is clean, organized, and colorful, which makes for fun shopping.they also have a hot bar, so you can pick up a substantial, fresh, and delicious lunch for around $5.best market around.
Fun food and shopping. A super selection of hot made to order foods in this giant market. A small outside eating area that we get some tacos and beer to enjoy the views outside. Food samples and the best Guacamole that I’ve ever found in a market. The Charizo is always my long time favorite. albeerpoe.blogspot.com
