Very interesting restaurant, pretty decent ramen. They definitely need a better system for the waitlist and waiting area. A little rough surrounding area and eclectic crowd, but worth the trip.

This was the best ramen ever and it so authentic! You could add anything from soft or hard boiled eggs to nori. You must try the bacon fried rice. The stuff on top looks like fuzz but it is finely shaved meat and it melts in your mouth.

Great noodle spot! I’ve tried a few different ramens and all have been delicious. Fair prices too. I’ll be back for sure. Highly recommended.

Overall, I’m a big fan of Johnny Noodle King. What I like: 1. Their unique seaweed salad – very different but delicious!2. Numerous options to customize your noodle bowl (e.g. Hot peppers, egg, anchovies, mushrooms, etc.).3. Mushroom salad was fantastic but might be off the menu now.4. Sapporo on tap.5. Minimalist, industrial look to the joint. What could be better:1. I wish there were one pure fish broth (i.e. not blended with chicken, beef or pork broth).Johnny’s is a welcome addition to the Detroit food scene!

meh.maybe the one vegan option just isn’t all that good and i’m missing out on the rest of the menu, but i don’t see myself driving to the west side for this again..ever. i would take instant noodle seasoning packets over this broth. at least they taste like something other than water.

You get a lot of food for a really good price! They accommodated me with my fish allergy and the manager was really kind. You can’t go wrong with any of the bowls of ramen

Detroit finally has a Real deal Ramen shop, the owner n Chef spent a month in Japan collecting ideas. Me favorite so far be the Red Curry Bowl Bursting with flavors that has be so hooked. Fabulous Rice Bowl with Pork Belly Smoked to perfection. Japanese Beer’s on Tap, Super Service in this quaint beautiful decorative interior design place. albeerpoe.blogspot.com
