Oh what a fantastic Taco Tuesday in the Barrio I grew up in SW DETROIT. We just had to celebrate the 15th year in business. Got many outrageous delicious authentic Mexican foods . Alambres mixed Steak n Pork Poblano Peppers, Onions, Tomato n Cheeses. Dos Taco Birria be Goat meat WOW tender juicy n the Big Wet one. Torta Ahogada loaded with Carnitas be Pork. OMG waitress say very hot wet sauce,,,, I say bring it this Gringo can handle the heat,,, oh yeah at the high end of me heat level, so enjoyed it. We had many more dishes and leftover for home. Super great prices, fast friendly service Goin back soon for the Posole n Breakfast goods serve all day long.Holla what a fantastic spread for lunch today, , had a Groupon to start with SW Detroit Famous Cabresto Tequila blended in a clay cup with a fruit flavor kicker. WOWED by the 100 percent de Agave . Yeah finished that bottle off smoothly excitable TEQUILA a must try when in the Barrio of SW DETROIT. Taco Tuesday only a buck each got 3 Birria be da Tender Juicy Goat Meat YUM, a exciting dish of Shrimps n Octopus in a red sauce tasted like Michilada with kickers surrounded by Cukes, Mater n Onion eat by placing pieces on a Saltine Cracker so unique I finished it all. Been a few times this year becoming our favorite. El Nacimiento is my go-to for Mexican cuisine in Southwest Detroit. Several of their options are great: taco dinner, excellent, the menudo, the goat, the enchiladas. The rice that comes with entrees is ok but the whole beans are very flavorful. In the winter, when it is very cold or when I have a cold or flu, their Chicken soup is truly unstoppable.

Unimpressive and inconsistent. PROS: spacious, free soup (sometimes), variety of salsas, cheapCONS: unfriendly waitstaff, inconsistent (flavor and the soup thing)nothing to rave about but is fine for a quick and cheap sit down meal. i’ve never paid more than $5 with tip.
Hmmmm. Was not impressed by this restaurant just and average food nothing spectacular, food was quick waitress was ok. Best thing was the salsa’s they were tasty but not tasty enough to return.
