Rude!. The staff is not very friendly. Our waiter refused to bring extra cream for our coffee! He ignored us for a majority of the time and he even had the audacity to get snippy WITH MY GRANDMOTHER. This place looks so charming from the outside, it’s a shame our brunch was completely ruined by this jerk.
Stops serving breakfast at 11Hostess told us to wake up earlier next time. Next time, we won’t be coming there. Its Northern Michigan in the summer, if I want to sleep until 10 and get breakfast at 11:15, I will. Thanks anyway.
Excellent organic and healthy choices. Great atmosphere
Martha’s dinner. Went with family. My brother is hardly ever perfectly happy with any restaurant, but no complaints tonight. Good food, good service. No rushing. He and a friend had the prix fixe which is available 5-6 p.m. and really enjoyed it. I had the crab cakes and another in our party had the lamb, both were very good. If they have the Queen of Sheba cake when you go it is delicious!
Local wine?. Martha’s does a good job with local food, but falls far short when it comes to local wine. It sits smack in the midst of the acclaimed Leelanau Peninsula appellation and just across the bay from the Old Mission Peninsula appellation. When one is surrounded with wonderful product and prides oneself on local sourcing, why look to California, France and Italy for wine?
Excellent food. Great service.
