Service was awesome. The food was very disappointing. Way over priced. A Burger, side salad, large salad, cup of soup and two draft beers $50. The burger was so disappointing, tasteless. Salads and soup pretty good but by no means worth the money.

Great folks, not gray. Doh.14 Nov, 2012Great food and gray folks. The outside bar is great in the summer for a cocktail and a huge slab of prime rib! They also run some killer specials in the winter when the fidgies are all gone.

Nothing special here.. The wife had a philly cheese steak sandwich which was super fatty to the point of being uneadible and I had the bbq chicken sandwich which was nothing special, simply a frozen chicken breast from a bag with no seasoning and the bbq sauce made the sandwich soggy, dripping, and left my fingers sticky, yet our vegetable beef soup was the dinner saver.

Our new favorite up north place. We’ve been here before, but over the few years they’ve been open, it has become better and better. We went for dinner one warm summer night – sat outside on the beautiful patio (the side is good for people watching, the back is totally private and quiet). Ordered a cherry wine spritzer – the waitress nicely warned me that it was tart cherry wine, not sweet – which was fine with me – it was delish! I had whitefish (duh), my husband had prime rib. Because he likes his meat ‘just shy of well done’, he’s often disappointed, but our waitress suggested that he order it medium well and then have it finished on the outdoor grill…which was a great suggestion. It arrived perfectly cooked. I’m not much of a meat eater, but even I loved it. Dinners came with a salad (the house dressing – white balsamic is so good we bought some to bring home), starch, etc. I wish I could remember our server’s name because she was excellent. Not a missed step at all…The atmosphere is so relaxing and the food so good that we ended up going back on our way back home because my husband wanted that prime rib again. We arrived around 4:30 pm, in the middle of early bird specials…slightly downsized dinner portions, which was perfect because we weren’t all that starving. He had the prime rib again (good, but not as wonderful as the first time – there was a pool of au jus on the plate which overwhelmed the meat). I had the perch – 4 fillets – and just as tasty as could be. Again, great service, good drinks and excellent food and atmosphere. We’ll be back again and again.

North Country Grill & Pub. AWESOME!. I honestly don’t think that you could go wrong with anything on the menu but if I had to choose I would go with the prime rib and lobster tail combo. The cut of prime is very generous and the lobster is melt in your mouth delicious. Follow that up with an after dinner Spanish Coffee and your evening could not get any better. Unless it’s a warm spring evening, the outdoor patio bar is open and Chef Rick has made some of his world famous cream of morel soup to go with your dinner. Give this place a try, you’ll be glad you did!!!

Really good!. Great menu – especially the roast beef, perch and London broil (my favorites)! Start with the fantastic onion rings. Salads are fresh; rice/risotto is very tasty, too. Good wine selction, no matter what you want to spend (try the Malbec or, if you’re in the mood, the very tasty and smooth Duckhorn or Frog’s Leap), after a cocktail or two. (Dewars is mine of choice.) You can’t go wrong here. Karen Lautner and her capable and experienced crew will take good care of you. And the early bird special (from 4 to 6pm) just makes it an even better value. Lunch outside when the weather is nice is a treat because the burgers are special. This is my favorite American restaurant in the area.

Great Atmosphere & Great Food. We went here to celebrate my birthday and from my 6 year old wanting to lick the macaroni and cheese terrine clean to the finger licking good onion rings that I ate alongside my juicy hamburger there were no complaints and not much conversation heard at our table during dinner. I highly recommend them for the food, atmosphere and service.
