This is by far one of my favorite legit Indian restaurants. Great flavor, very full, and excellent service. Each employee acts as if they have a solid investment in the success of curry leaf. The physical atmosphere & decor still has some remnants of the previous restaurant (Fleetwood) which adds the charm of the real India, but they are making progress as they can which shows wise fiscal decisions for long term success. We’ve eaten in several times & take out several times, the food is consistently great. If you don’t do well with spicy food, order off the menu instead of the buffet when available.
Reservations recommended lmao, no this place is not busy enough for that. You can walk right in.Where do I start…It’s a 50’s diner with Indian food.Something must have gotten lost in translation because the menu is hilarious. Passionate korma and incomparable pepper special. They are really trying hard… Except plastic dishes and same decor from when it was a diner, plus chandeliers. No ice in my water, really?Service was quick and waiter was really nice and knowledgeable on the menu. They don’t have pop, but they do have his weird yogurt drink which is highly addictive.Food was really good, a number 5 spice was a good medium that was warm but not too hot for most non-Indian people’s ;)I’m pretty sure my goat was not goat. I asked and they said it was but it really did not taste like goat, my wife’s lamb tasted more like goat so I’m not sure what is going on there. This place is really throwing me off. I’m really confused by the plastic plates and no soda and diner decor. I’ll say this, the curry we had looked and tasted pretty legit. If I had to ignore some of the atmospheric aspects of the place and go primarily on food. Then this is how I rate them. Please get real dishes, soda and some ice for the damn water.
