This place is really good. I was pleasantly surprised since Belt line bar just down the street sucked so bad.
GR’s best authentic Mexican Cuisine. I live in Mexico for 4 to 6 months each year and so it was a pleasant surprise to find El Arriero a few years ago. It’s food is authentic, delicious, reasonably priced and the service always courteous. It’s like being back in Mexico while living in GR.
Fresh chips and wonderful salsa. Staff was friendly and fast. Authentic Mexican staff. Portions were healthy and good was served hot and fast. Wide variety of choices. Would recommend this to friends and coworkers.

Love it!. We have been going to El Arriero for about 8 years. We love it. The food is always fast and hot. The service is always good. Maybe everyones idea of mexican food is all a little different because I really like the salsa and the beans which another person didn’t like. Also we have always gotten the right food.
Went with my wife and famiy and service/ food was amazing. The Ocheta (milk drink)is great, pins colds great, chips and drink as soon as you sit down. Flan was good too.
Best family Mexican in Grand Rapids.
