We used to come weekly, but bad service killed it for us. We tried take out, would wait 30 minutes to go and get it and would still wait another 20 minutes only to have the wrong order when we got home and no rice. The food is good, but the service will kill them.

Yes!. I love this place! The food is so good (and I’ve eaten Thai all over the country, cook it, know tons about it). Very vegetarian friendly. Very friendly staff. Not fancy, cute. Love.

5 Stars for food; 1 star for service & atmosphere. In short: Menu and Food – Awesome! Service and atmosphere – Slow and next to horrible :(( For such great food you would think the owners would have the insight to hire at least one real server. Good food and service are the key to succes in the restaurant business. All they had on a Friday evening was the owner’s wife to hostess and wait tables. There was a young man who was on hand to help but he does not speak english and never was able to bring us anything we asked for. Nor was he well trained; he would enter the dining area, drop off food then make a hasty retun to the kitchen, never did he look around to notice if things needed to be filled or cleared. It took about 15 minutes before we even ordered, then another 30, yes 30 minutes before any food arrived. Then I did not get a plate and had to use the appetizer plate for my entre’. I will only order take out from now on unless I read that there has been a change in how they operate. Amy

Had an early dinner with the family on a Saturday afternoon. Had the peanut curry noodles with tofu and the curry noodles with chicken and shrimp. Both were very good and the portions were very nice. Also tried the pad Thai with beef and the three’s company with chicken, beef and pork. All the dishes were very flavorful and with just the right amount of spice depending on how we ordered it. The only complaint is that the food didn’t come out together. Two of us had our main courses quite a bit ( maybe 10 minutes) before the other two. Other than that, the meal was excellent.

Horrendous Service – Rude Owner. Recently my credit card was accidentally double charged for my meal. I saved my receipt and credit card but so I figured it would be no problem to fix the error. Unfortunately, the owner was completely rude and offensive when I asked for a refund. In fact, she said she never wants my business in the future. I’ve never been so shocked and appauled at such horrible customer service, especially over a mistake the restaurant made.

Delicious traditional Thai cuisine. Nu-Thai Bistro is one of my favorite restaurants in Grand Rapids. It serves authentic Thai dishes. I’ve been three times now and I loved every visit. I recommend any of Pad Thai dishes. I think that I like Pad Thai the best so far with all of my Thai dining experiences. Thai spices are very, very spicy. When they say hot, they mean it. I got hot the first time and I was crying. Even medium had a kick to it. They give you complimentary hot and sour soup and a spring roll with delicious dipping sauce for it. The Thai decorations and background music are a nice touch, too. The workers are very kind and helpful. Truly a wonderful local yet authentic Thai restaurant in GR.

Excellent pad thai! Nice service, great spring rolls, and the bonus is fresh-brewed ice tea.
