Great service. Mediocre food. Definitely not Chicago pizza at its best.
Always a good choice. Old Chicago is always a good choice for dinner. Every time we have gone we have always enjoyed the food, and the service was helpful and friendly. I ordered a chicken pesto pizza and it was one of the best pizzas I have ever had. The atmosphere is relaxing. My only complaint is that some of the tables have low hanging, very bright blinding lights that make me feel like I was about to get interrogated. And on our most recent trip, our waitress brought us our bill before she brought us our deserts, which was not a big deal, but kinda weird. But all-in-all, Old Chicago is a hidden gem, and very affordable, too.
Grand Rapids is a sorry town for finding much decent pizza after living in Detroit, Dallas and Nashville. This place has a decent, although not great Chicago style pie, so I go here when a three hour drive is not in the cards. The on tap beer selection is excellent and so is the service. Pretty decent lasagna as well. For a pizza junkie that prefers thick crusts, this is pretty competitive.
The best pizza!! Try the Thai pie. It’s so good.
