Best burger chain in town. A little pricey, but less than red Robin- and much better. Five guys doesn’t come close. The only chain that’s better is Bobby Flay Burger palace, but Beltline is a lot closer than NYC.
Best burgers in town. Best friendly service in town. I love the smash fries.
Loved it! Kind of like a five guys burger. For those who just have to have it their way, the variety of toppings is great.
Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Smashburger today.. I can not believe the negative reviews. My wife and I, along with a friend of ours ate there today. We thought the food was excellent. The Boston Cooler was Great, The chicken sandwich was good and the burger was the best I have had in a long time. Juicy and tasty. Not the cheapest place for burgers, but unlike some of the other reviews, I knew I was not going to McDonald’s. Keep up the good work. The staff was very courteous and friendly also. We will go back again for sure.
It wasn’t Bad. I happened to see this place while on the Beltline so I stopped to inquire. Decided to eat there ordering a regular Smashburger w/o cheese, Olive Oil fries which I sent back for a hot order, (it came promptly) and an Ice Tea. Everything was good. The fries are a lil bigger than shoestring fries and I would prefer sweetner other than Equal, (Sweet n Low). The cost was just under $10. but I refills are free. I would go again but the prices could come down a bit.
Disappointed. Very disappointed in the Michigan Olive. I love olive burgers and this was probably the blandest I’ve ever eaten. Very drippy with grease, little flavor. The onion strings were ok but I’ve had better. My son had the BBQ, Bacon & Cheddar and said it was just ok, nothing special. No one in our party was overly impressed and doubt we will return. Was it bad? No. But we’ve all had better.
Hopes too high?. Stopped in to Smashburger Saturday 11/12/11 with high hopes. The line was out the door at 12:30/lunch which can be expected at a new place. We waited 10-15 minutes to get to the counter which was enough time to get what you wanted sorted out. Ben the manager chatted with us in line telling about the company and it’s menu. Very nice fellow that Ben. Service was friendly at the counter and the order went smooth. My wife grabbed a table while I waited in line to place the order so we had seating. We received a number for our food to be delivered to the table and got some self service drinks. Our 5 year old got a chicken strip basket which comes with fries and drink. The chicken had a extremely thin breading on it, which was fine, but not what you normally see on chicken strips. My wife had a mushroom smashburger which she said was good. I had the big smah baja burger with an added fried egg. It honeslty was a decent burger, about a 3 napkin mess eating it, but nothing flavor wise really jumped out. Maybe I needed bacon added as well? Fries and sides are ala cart, so we got an order of smash fries, sweet potato smash fries, and deep fried pickels. The fry orders are both olive oil and rosemary seasoned and were really tasty and something different. Seemed to be just overly salted though. The pickles came with ranch and the same light breading that was on the chicken strips. They were tasty. Overall the meal was a few cents short of $30.00 which is a little higher end for a burger place for lunch. I wouldn’t say it is over priced, but on the high end. It should also not be assciated with fast food either, because of the higher quality ingredients used.Overall I was satisfied with lunch, just haven’t convinced myself to drive over a half hour to go back in the very near future.
