Dim Sum…You Lose Some…. A Sunday Dim Sum brunch can be a wonderful experience. It’s a meal of convenience as a buffet of steamed and fried Chinese specialties are rolled to you on various carts. Unfortunately, I just can’t bring myself to recommend this place to those who have experienced serious Dim Sum outside the Michigan area. The food is not particularly bad and the service was friendly. At the very least the shumai and pork buns are enjoyable, but the shrimp rice rolls (my usual favorite) were just plain awful. The overall food experience falls short of the satisfaction I have experienced in various China Towns across the states. It may leave a first time Dim Sum eater wondering just what the hype is about (or just be in the dark enough to think it’s really good). If that is the case, I highly recommend expanding your Dim Sum horizons beyond this place. Either way, the place was not so bad I would advise staying away but if you truly enjoy Dim Sum and was desperately searching for a place to satisfy your cravings like I was, this place just might do it. However, try not to get your expectations too high.
