The best restaurant in town. Yummy wok is my very favorite restaurant! The food deesnt taste like fast food like some Chinese restaurants. Love the dinner rolls also. Yummy come out and greets us every time we are there.
Menu??. I love the food here. We used to go downtown to Hong Kong Inn, it is the same! I think their web site would be much better with a menu that you could read (not somebody’s picture of one that can’t be).
Food was awful…. My wife and I had the Singapore rice and Generals Chicken. The food has a strange after taste a.k.a MSG….I spent 20$ and did not even finish half of the food….from now on my wife and I will refer to Yummy Wok as Yucky Wok !
UnYummy trip and barf. Normally we order our food from First Wok, but my husband talked me into trying this place. We ordered the yummy wings, sizzling rice soup, pepper steak and the general tso chicken platter. First the wings tasted and looked like they had been sitting for a while. The soup tasted like canned chicken noodle with collard greens, ham and other crap in it, not to mention you can see all the fat floating on top. The pepper steak was greasy, it tasted like powdered brown gravy with green pepper flavoring and the rice for it was nothing but mush! The general tso was actually tasted like orange chicken with no spice to it. The rice looked like it was cooked in dirt and the egg roll tasted like it was made with canned sourKraut. By far the worst place we have had in a long time! We will a NEVER order from here again!
THE BEST EGGROLLS EVER!!!!!! Best food ever!!!! The only thing that bothers me about this place is the oddball waittress. She is there like everyday and seems to be the only waitress that works there….
Like others, my first choice is always First Wok, right around the corner. A change of pace brought me into Yummy Wok. Attractive interior, very nice folks, but the food was disappointing. The spring rolls were doughy tasting and underdone. It seemed liked there wasn’t much in them besides onion, judging by the flavor. The fried rice is dark brown, nearly black, and too heavy with soy sauce and oil. I don’t fault them for coming up short on the spiciness of the Kung Pao Chicken. No restaurant ever gets it hot enough for my palate on the first trip. Even First Wok took some convincing to really up the heat. Without the spiciness, it was a pretty bland version, though. Even the steamed rice was overly gummy. Back to First Wok from now on.
Love it!. My boyfriend and I have been going there for over two years now, and it has been great every time! They will ask if you want white meat or dark meat with certain entrees, and the food is always hot and fresh!
