Great expansive locals beer list. Decor good and music at level fit conversation. Good service. Good enormous food that could have been more graceful but overall a worthy evening. Chance of return 70%
Go for the beer, not the food. Went to the restaurant with my wife for dinner. We ordered a pizza with an appetizer to go with our beer. The beer was good. The food was underwhelming. For the hype surrounding this place, I felt that the food would be amazing. It was as bland as something one would receive at a chain restaurant. This place tries far too hard to draw a hipster crowd which is really disappointing. Ice water was served in mason jars. Really. Traverse City has many gastropubs where one can get great food & beer. This is not one of them. Avoid.
Restaurant has no concern for service. I ordered a pizza from it’s limited menu and asked if I could have it without mushrooms. They brought the pizza out with mushrooms. I would have been understanding if the rest of the events had not happened. Another 7-8 minutes went by and our incompetent waiter Brad brought out a completely different pizza and asked if that one without mushrooms would be okay instead. I of course said no and they went back and tried for a third time to get what I ordered. They gave us no discount on our food and really were not that apologetic as they delivered what I ordered after half an hour and three attempts. My wife’s food was also not that good. Additionally if you are a beer lover that is interested in porters or scottish ales this is certainly not the place to go. They basically had none. They had a lot of beers, but the types of beer represented were not very good. I will never go to this restaurant again for anything even if the food was free.
The chef has some skills at this place. Many unique dishes. Prices are reasonable.
I have no idea about the food, but the beer selection alone is worth the trip. The staff was friendly, prompt, & knowledgeable.
Great burgers & amazing beer.
