One of the meals we have ever had. Denise ordered the Kobe beef. At Walter’s recommendation I got the salmon. Both, and their accompaniments were great. Walter helped us order the perfect wine. Doug, the owner, seated us next to the fireplace. We could not have had a better experience.
Never eat at the Boathouse. Save your time and $$$$. We go to TC every summer and Fall,This is by far the worst place I have ever ate. The food was terrible and the staff was poor at best. I don’t mind paying top $$$$ for great food but I honestly think I could find better food and service in a dumpster. We still talk about what a bad experience we had there and laugh. Never go here.
The food was overlooked, then undercooked. There was no apology. No recovery. No real concern if we had had a good meal or experience or not. It was overpriced. Underwhelming. There are so many great restaurants in TC that are consistently good. I can’t imagine going back to the Boathouse for poor food, poor service and a total lack of commitment to making the guest experience right. The GM wasn’t available; our waiter disappeared; and the receptionist was simply uninterested in what could have turned our impressions around.
It okay. Way over- priced. The food is just okay. If you really want a splendid meal with fresh fish, try the Apache Grill.
I dont know how anyone cant like this place. Dont listen to any negative feedback.If you are not willing to spend some money, take your cheap butt somewhere else.Go with the Chefs tasting menu, share it and then try to complain. There is something wrong with you if you arent satisfied.
Birthday at the boathouse. My family went to the boathouse for my 13th birthday. We had the tasting menu. The chef came out and talked to us about his life and the food. It was an awesome experience. The boathouse food is awesome. I would go there everyday if I could. The tasting menu was fun and so so good. Morrel mushroom soup was the best.
