Gave it enough chances…. The owner is incredibly rude, not customer service oriented. The staff obviously has not been trained to be customer service oriented either. I have given them multiple chances, because I love coffee and believe they have a TON of potential. Every time I ordered though, I was always given the wrong drink, and when I would nicely point out that it wasn’t what I ordered, I was always given a dirty look, even when they weren’t busy and rushed to make drinks. The baked goods are never fresh, and the in your face religion is insulting.

I would have to say that Espresso Bay is the comeback kid of coffee shops in Traverse City, A few years ago I would have agreed with the negative feedback, however, the owners must have realized that things weren’t good, because there is now new management, and new staff. I chatted with the manager the other day, she is so sweet, and has seemed to turn the whole place around, the store looks cleaner and brighter, the bakery case is full of fresh baked goods, and she made my caramel latte to perfection and topped it with latte art. It is now MY FAVORITE coffee spot in town. Give it another chance.

Mediocre. The coffee was ok, but extremely overpriced. I also wasn’t thrilled with the religious ( in your face) book section at the Hammond location. Not worth it.
