Mixed Bag. The food is great. Not all the food. The meat is great. Everything else you can get at any diner. The meats though, and the BBQ sauces, are worth the trip. No, you probably won’t get a seat (very small) and you’ll smell like a diner for the rest of the day, but the smoked meats are spectacular. You can buy it by the pound, to go.
Want to get screwed and horrible service …..eat here.. The people who run this place are the least professional restaurant owe nets/operators. They will try to screw you if they can. Definitely don’t use their take out menue, they like to change the price right befor you pick up the food.
More than Meats the Eye. The exterior is unassuming but do not let this deter you. All the food is worth getting. Meats and Omelets, buttered toasts, and get this, pulled pork omelets…that’s what food is all about! I did not get to try all of their meats but I am confident that they will satisfy.

Love this place. It’s breakfast and lunch done right. Real smoked meats that do more than just compliment a heaping pile of potatoes and eggs, they make the sandwiches rise to a whole new level. You have to try the Cuban sandwich, thick sliced smoked pork butt, smoked ham topped with cheese and pickle…. You could split it with someone, but trust me, you’ll want your own. The BBQ pulled pork, the breakfast sandwiches, the pit ham western omelet, and stacked ham Sammy with the honey mustard are all excellent. Can’t go wrong at this place!
Great Eatin’ for a Omelet Guy. The 8th Street Omelet from Ham Bonz in Traverse City. Egg nestled with ham and just the right amount of cheese means a great breakfast. It was made to perfection, I have to say the price wasn’t to bad either. High recommend this establishment.
Yum!. I only ordered takeout (pulled pork for 25) and it was wonderful! My guests raved about the sauce, which was not too sweet. If you like sweet sauce, you can get the pork without and sauce it yourself. We also got the cole slaw which is house made and great, not like any I’ve had before. They put corn and kidney beans in their slaw. I’ll definitely be back next time!
