Horrible management, rude and apparently so caught up in the Food Network mention that customer service has gone out the window. Based on these things we will not be taking our family to this establishment.
Staff was hilariously gruff. When we laughed at the snark and gave back they started smiling and having fun with us. Atmosphere was classic bar with Elvis music and tall seating at bar. Very clean. Food was excellent. We were worried because it was dead, no cars but took a chance. Had the olive burger (which they would not let me add onions to because they said it was perfect- which okay, but I still wanted onion!). Eggplant appetizer was nothing unusual but done very well. Cherry bread pudding with honey ice cream was amazing!
From the time I walked in, I was greeted with an unwelcoming hello & talked down to like I was ignorant. At first I thought to get out of my seat & run b/c I thought I had stepped into an established that I wasn’t allowed. I wasn’t pleased with the menu options nor did I bother to ask for a recommendation. On top of not having things available on the already limited menu, the atmosphere was just awkward. My wings & fries were good tho… P.S. The non alcoholic drinks differ in price, depending on if u have ice or not, which also changes the size of ur cup too 🙁
We were looking for a local dive and this fit the bill. No ambience at all. A small bar with a few seats and various tables splayed out across the room. According to our bar maid, this restaurant is supposed to be on Food Network in the near future for their Olive Burger. So, of course, we ordered one. It was a very thin burger with green olives in some kind of white sauce with swiss cheese on top. Unremarkable in our opinion. The fried perch was mostly breading and barely edible. The french fries are the skinny ones and were decent. The coleslaw was better than most. If you order wine, make sure to ask about wine prices. We had two glasses of Toasted Head Chardonnay which were nice pours but were $9.75 a glass! Unfortunately, both of us suffered from extreme intestinal distress the next day. Something we ate was bad but we can’t point a finger at anything in particular. We would not eat here again.
Wow…my encounter with the bartender/owner lady was one of the most bizarre experiences I’ve ever had in a service establishment…within 5 minutes was telling us about bad reviews they received on yelp and what not…so unbelievably unprofessional, prices were ridiculous, I’m sorry if the rest of the staff or the kitchen staff is adequate because nobody will ever know…if this woman is the first person you meet at a restaurant how will you stay to see the rest? Someone needs to get her out of here for the love of God, losing money by the minute with her there…wow
Very rude owner. Our server was lovely and she did her best (as she was overburdened with tables and customers), but the comments I heard the owner tell both those seated at/near my table and those who were attempting to be seated were absolutely unacceptable.I will never return to this establishment, nor will I recommend it to anyone. Ever.
Bo Bo in Paradise …. Terrific setting, food, service and people …
