Never a bad dining experience. Kid-friendly. Great location. About the only affordable dining downtown.
GREAT MEAL. One of the few places open on Sunday this time of the year!!Very pleasant and knowledgeable staff!!Our steaks were cooked to perfection. The entire meal was excellent. Will go back for sure.
Not too shabby for a hotel restaurant. Looking for a place to eat late on Mother’s day we struck out at our first 3 picks – they were closed. So, we headed back to the Park Place hotel were we were staying and decided to try the in house eatery, Minerva’s. The decor was nice, both the dining area and the bar area were clean and very inviting – surprising considering they had just served over 1,000 diners for Mother’s Day Brunch. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. Maurice, our waiter was very helpful and certainly knows that customer service is the name of the game. We both chose meals from their Prix Fixe menu. I had the white chicken chili soup, grilled pork chop with mashed redskins & some grilled zucciini with the Key Lime pie for desert. The Queen had the house italian salad, 7oz sirloin fillet w/loaded baked potato and the homemade cheesecake with wildberry compote. Both meals were only $15.00. Maurice had set me up earlier with a $2.99 Margarita, which went well with the pork. The chicken white chili was in the top 5 soups I have ever had. Totally surprising to me as I have not had much luck in hotel restaurants. The pork was seasoned perfectly and grilled to perfection, moist and tender with a good crust on it. The redskins were a great accompaniment and the grilled zucchini was spot on. The key lime pie was very good, not bright green which was a good sign…The queen’s italian salad was a little pedestrian, nothing to write home about. Her fillet was very tender, cooked exactly as she requested, and the loaded baked potato made a great side dish for a grilled fillet. Her cheesecake with the wildberry compote was a fitting end to a great meal. The wildberry compote was not too sweet and worked well with the creamy cheesecake. Minverva’s does not skimp on portions either, the meal portions were just right, neither too big or small. All in all a pleasant surprise for the both of us to get such a great meal, in pleasant surroundings inside the hotel we were staying in, for less than $40. I would highly recommend stopping by for a meal at Minerva’s.
Great Cajun food and good drinks. Server (Melissa D) was awesome!
Hubby & I love this restaurant… Going there this evening even though we aren’t staying at the hotel this vacation. Best white chili, too!
A bit like the hotel. Service wasn’t that bad… I felt somewhat rushed, and the waitress seemed antsy. The burger was good, and the mashed potatoes were impressive, but I still felt as though there was something lacking in the restaurant itself.
Not Veggie Friendly. I’ve heard the food is very good, but for a vegetarian there are very limited options. I haven’t really liked anything I have tried there.
