Food was decent. Oyster Rockefeller was good. Prime rib was decent for price. Seafood pasta was not very good for price point. Service was very good once we sat down but they were hesitant to meet our request to sit outpace on a beautiful night because the tables weren’t cleaned off. Would not go back.
Beautiful setting great food. We celebrated our daughter’s visit with fabulous dinner: lamb, fish, prime rib—all excellent!Service was and added bonus–excellent and very professional! Classy at a moderate price. we will return for special events, with uniquely beautiful ambiance.
We went there for lunch. It was nice. Food was good, but not outstanding. We had prime rib au jus and the white fish. Fish was really tasty. Sandwich was a little charred. Atmosphere could use some updating. Staff was pleasant. I don’t know if it was good enough that I’d try them for dinner. However my husband was so impressed by the fish that he would go back any day.
8/15/2011. Fabulous food, great service. Whitefish dip was wonderful, we had the prime rib, crab legs, seafood fettucini, great flavor. Reasonably priced for fine dining.
Not that good and service was marginal.
Great food and service. Unusual setting, with the restaurant in an art gallery. Walleye was melt-in-your-mouth good and the cherry cobbler was a wonderful finish.
Always Great. Stopped in to ‘The Tavern’ Tonight, ordered the Thursday night special. Perogie, they have been sreving this dish for years, and it is one of the best dishes in Traverse City. My husband and I eat out at least 4 times a week, so we know what is good. We even got it to go!! It was still perfect when we got it home! Try the Crab Cakes, the Scallops, and the prime rib, the lamb, Everything at this place is great!
