Good food, but for a bar that is smoke free in a state that is smoke free it is one of the smokest bars I have been to since the smoke free law passed in Michigan. There is a sign posted on a door to a patio that states no smoking on patio. And not only is there smoking out there but the door is open so the smokes blows back into the bar. I guess the no smoking does not pertain to the regulars and waitstaff since they are the ones outside smoking. Complaining is useless since on many weekends you can find the owner at the end of the bar lighting up. Sad thing is my husband and I are regulars but we are non smokers so our opinions don’t matter too much.26 Aug, 2012Good food, but for a smoke free restaurant and state it is one of the smokest restaurants and bars I have been to since the law passed 3 years ago. There is a sign stating no smoking on a door to the patio, but I guess that is just there for show and does not pertain to the locals and waitstaff. When you complain you are obviously in the minority seeing as though the owner sits at the end of the bar and lights up. Sad because this is a hidden gem in TC,

They classed the place up a bit in the last five years.. I love the burgers and fries and the outdoor patio. They have a much better menu and attract a higher class crowd. Saw Milt Wilcox who pitched for the Tigers in the 84 world series enjoying a couple of beers here.
A Hideaway from Hipsters and Tourists. Go to the Sail Inn for good burgers, heaping portions, and a friendly game of pool. No pretentions, no corporate fakery. Just good food and nice people.
Great Place. Good food! The french fries were the best! Great burgers and cold beer. Friendly staff, two pool tables and a pretty outside eating area. Local crowd, not overrun by summer tourists.
