This is first Lebanese restaurant I tried in US and experience was pretty good .. This place has good enough space and decent ambience .. We ordered veg combo which had humus, baba-ganoush, mjarda , garlic cream which was excellent, falafel balls, spinach pie, lentil soup and grilled veggies. They served unlimited fresh hot pita which goes amazing with veg platter .. We even tried hummus and tabouli sandwich which was decent. Overall this place is not that expensive and gives authentic Lebanese flavour
Quantities are huge and the flavors make you wish you had a larger stomach! Appies are a meal unto themselves. Tongue wins! I’m full and have not made a dent.
Met a friend for lunch today. Descent food, quick service for those on lunch break. Manager seemed to hover over a bit wanting to turn the tables. I give it a 7.
Too expensive. I like the food. Delicious but it’s too expensive for me. We’ve found alternatives.
A new favorite. I just visited La Marsa yesterday and ordered the Ghallaba with lamb and the garlic almond flavorings. It was amazing. The prices are a bit steep but well worth it because your portions are ridiculously huge!! Food doesn’t come out on a plate but more like a platter! The bread you get before your meal is amazing..puffy warm fresh bread with the best garlic sauce I’ve ever tasted. The Lentil soup was equally as tasty, a nice creamy soup perfect alone or for dipping the bread into. I also ordered the Arabic coffee…delicious and a must have for you coffee lovers!! Treat yourself and visit La Marsa asap.
Exceptional food, quality is great. The pitas come out hot and fresh. I have been there multiple times and the service sometimes gets delayed when they get busy but only by5-10 mins max.I would give this restaurant A-. If you are unsure of what to order try out the lamb/chicken shwarma sandwich.
La Marsa Mid East Restaurnat. I arranged a surprise birthday party for my wife, on 20 Feb 2010. Since we had used La Marsa to cater my daughter’s graduation party, about 6 years ago, I thought of using La Marsa to cater this event. With less than 1 week notice, Mr. Mohammad and Mr. Nabil were requested to provide food for 35 persons, later chaneed to 40 persons. As it turned out, 47 people arrived for the party. It was requested to be delivered to my home by 7 PM on Sat 20 Feb 2010. The food arrived at 6:30 PM, and the delivery man keep bringing trays of food. We had so much food that all 47 guests were well satisfied, and some even took home left overs. My wife and I continued to eat the remaining leftovers well into the next week. The food quality was exceptional, and guested continued to ask the source of the food. We were extremely please with the quantity and quality and taste of all dishes provided by La Marsa-mideast salads, kabobs, lamb, etc..I highly recommend La Marsa for catering, or eat at their locations in Bloomfield hills, Troy, Farmington Hills, and Waterford, Michigan.Best Regards,Ray Barker
