Simply Awesome. This is the email I sent to the banquet manager Dear LeannI just wanted to do a l follow up after my grandsons, baby Giovanni’s 1st birthday. Everything was perfect. Nothing but 5 stars across the board. Let me praise you guys in detail. The delivery person was right on time, professional, well dressed and friendly. She set everything up so quickly and efficiently. The food was hot and awesome. I mean you guys were catering to 50 hard core Italians. I mean, my grandsons full name is Giovanni John Gerald Amalio. Pretty much says it all. All were singing the praises with rave reviews. I heard a couple people say, why should we kill ourselves and cook at family get togethers. We are doing this (Maggianos) at our next party. Trust me, these Italian ladies have high standards. You guys met all of them. I don’t know what you do to that lasagna and sauce. Heavenly!!! Don’t even get me started on your bread :). The sausage and broccolini was ridiculous in such a good way. There was nothing for us to do. You guys provided everything. Plenty of butter, cheese, utensils etc. Seriously, even the mints were great. Worth every single penny. You were so easy to work with. You answered all my questions and got back with me ASAP when I called or emailed. You helped me in getting the right food and the perfect amount. We even had some, and I mean some leftovers. People got 2nd’s and 3rd’s it was so good. The carry out containers are genius. You know I own a Bridal Gown Boutique and will highly recommend. Please send me some material over so I can give to my brides. I mean it. You guys earned it :). Right down to the card that you guys gave to little Giovanni. Melted my heart. What a sweet and kind thing to do. These are little things that set you guys apart from the rest. We will defiantly be using Maggiano’s again. We used the banquet facilities for the baby shower and catering for his first birthday. Both times you guys out did yourselves. Amazing! Stellar Service. We hosted our son’s baptism luncheon at the Troy location. Their banquet rooms were all booked but they accomodated our large group in their main dining room. We chose the Chef’s choice family style option and the selection was great with unbelieave portions– everyone at our party thought we spent a fortune on food because there was so much variety. The appetizers, salad, and pastas all came out promptly, though our dinners took a bit longer than we would have liked. By the time the meats made it to the table, everyone thought the pastas were it and got full on that. They did package everything that we didn’t finish for us, from appetizers to pastas to dinners (we had more than enough to give to our guests to take home). The service was top notch and the manager made us feel like this won’t be something that will be a problem again; it was very nice and refreshing to find a restaurant that wasn’t so arrogant as to believe there was nothing for them to improve upon. The manager welcomed our comments and made us feel like this was a place we would want to come back to in the future. Our waiter went above and beyond (even cutting the cake himself for us since the kitchen was too backed up to do it). All in all, the managers were on top of everything and it was refreshing to see people who care so much customer service, especially in an industry that seems to have forgotten that’s how you stay in business. We spent a good chunk of change there but, all in all, it didn’t break the bank when considering the amount of food we got and it was money well spent. Everyone thought that the food was good but the ambience and service definitely put this place in the forefront for future events.
Always satisfied.. Dependable place. Excellent prices. Food is very good and we have never been let down. We always end up with leftovers. Service has been good. The male waiters are a little cocky, but whatever. Appetizers are really good, the pasta is very good, not amazing, but pretty good. Like I said, always dependable. Always leave feeling satisfied and that I got my money’s worth.

Great Experience. We’ve never been to Maggiano’s and were in Troy for the first time. We walked in without reservation. I was struck by the decor, which was very tasteful. Wait time was less than expected. The staff was very helpful and we had some wine while waiting and sat in a very comfortable area with a leather couch and a couple of side chairs. The place was VERY busy. Our table was ok. it’s a little cramped in there, but not uncomfortable and the tables are large enough. While we did not order it, the Family-style option looks good and there is a large selection on the menu. like a previous reviewer, I had the stuffed mushrooms, which were excellent. The meat sauce on my kid’s pasta was fantastic. The steak I had was served on a bed of sausages, peppers, onions and was very good. I would probably get a better steak at a steak-house, but it was cooked to perfection. It just wasn’t seasoned enough. My wife had excellent Pasta with Alfredo and a massive portion of veal, which was also perfect. The service was great. Generous portions. Kids meals are very inexpensive ($6).
Excellent food and service. Came in at closing time one evening and the staff took care of us. Maureen was our server and she did an excellent job. Will be back.
