Absolutely awful food. The atmosphere and service just ok – typical of most mom&pop Chinese eatery. Worst egg roll I have ever tasted. Entree flavor boring and very untypical. Avoid.

Decent prices, had the friend rice, portion is rather small but decent. Egg roll is a little oily and sadly no meat that I could see. There are plenty of decent Chinese restaurants in the area. Not sure if I would return.

Great Food!. My first visit to New China, humble exterior, fantastic food. We will be back, again and again. For all the fancy dining in Birmingham and Bloomfield, this is my favorite chinese so far. Skip PF Changs and Chen Chow!

The sauce is the boss. The thing that keeps me coming back, besides Alice’s unique prickly hospitality, is the sauce for my beloved General Tso’s chicken. It’s not too sweet, or too thick, or full of ketchup, and I can’t get enough.

Nice waitstaff, food from 1960’s. Pleasant, nice waitstaff. The food was not good. Hugely disappointing, plain, not tasty. The Mu Shu was flavorless, the lemon chicken and the General Tsu’s seemed to be the same dish, except one had tiny lemon bits and the other bits of pepper.A real throwback to the way Chinese food was in the 60’s. I would not recommend to anyone under 70 years old looking for that old flavor.
