Awesome Sandwiches. I’ve been a loyal customer of the Troy Deli for years. All of their food is great, though my favorite is the #29, Spicy Beef with chipotle mayo, grilled.When I have co-workers in town I always take them there. Some of the frequent travelers ask for it by name ahead of time.I’ve ordered from them for large lunches at work may, many times and never had the problem JL wrote about.
Never on-time!. I tried them for a presentation despite somebody else’s review that they were horribly late. I thought it was just a one time occurrence. WRONG! Great food but DO NOT ever count on them for a delivery to be on-time. My food order for 14 people was 45 minutes late and I got the run around on the phone about not being able to get in touch with the driver. Then she told me he was late to another delivery. Then 30 minutes later she said he’d be there any second. Then 10 minutes later she admitted that the food had just been loaded in the car! I wouldn’t try and eat-in either. Have heard that it takes them 20 minutes to make a sandwich when nobody is even in line. If you want to try it, order it 30-40 minutes before you want it and pick it up, and make sure you are NOT in a hurry!!!!
Only Deli in Detroit I Loved. Seriously. For months I stayed in Troy for the company I work for and got many lunches from here. The bread is perfectly baked and when I first tried their sandwich I remember thinking that I’d be frequenting their deli. The only downside is they close at 3pm. I’d go there for dinner!
