My wife and I ordered carryout here for the first time today. We’ve eaten at a lot of other Chinese restraunts, but we both agreed that this was most likely the vast Chinese food we’d ever had.
Blah, tasteless. I tried China Chef when I first moved to Walker, hoping that the closest Chinese restaurant to my new home would be good. They weren’t even adequate, I cannot bring myself to return. I’d rather buy frozen.
Decent place, luncheon specials are really cheap for the generous amounts they give you. However, a lot of of their meals come off with wayy too much sauce. I always ask for less sauce, my chickens already dead, I don’t need it to be drowned. The owner is pretty nice, but one of the waitresses there is just plain rude. Like I said, overall it’s DECENT.
Great Place. I travel through out the USA and Internationally for business. This is simply the best tasting Chinese food that I have had anywhere! The service is Great! I especially like the eggfoo young (which I never had until one of the staff members recommended it). The fried rice is cooked correctly, not over cooked and hard, nor is is under cooked and stickey. Their sweet and sour soup is to die for!
This is the best chinese food in town. I use to swear by the Hong Kong until they moved out of downtown, now this is their replacement in my book.
Best in the West. I dont know about the other guy but I simply think its the best chinese food i can get in grand rapids. My favorites are for sure the Mongolian Beef, Crabcheese and Kung Bao Chicken.. sooooo good. Lunch specials are some of the best deals out there and the quality is definitely worth visiting for instead of one of those generic chinese buffets out there. Make a visit there if you can.
God Awful. Worst chinese food I have ever eaten… Everything was overcooked, there cashew chicken was nothing like any other cashew chicken i have ever eaten… not worth the money.. I honestly believe the only decent chinese pickup restaurant left in Grand Rapids is Lai Thai Kitchen (the old Kim Kim)
