My husband, sons and I tried this restraunt out for the first time. Overall, the food was ok, but they used way too much cheese, and it way definately velveeta. The food would have been much better if they had used real cheese and gone easier on it. About half of it ended up on my plate uneaten, and the rest left a bad taste in my mouth. My one son did like his quesadilla, but my other sons enchillata looked to be swimming in grease. The womans bathroom was very clean and pleasant, but my sons said the men’s room could use a cleaning. Price was nice. For a family of four (including 2 teenage boys) dinner came to about $30.We will probably try this restraunt again, but please, use a high quality of cheese and done drown the food in it!

It doesn’t taste like Mexican food. Everything is drenched in Velveeta cheese far from a Mexican taste I give this place a F

OMG..WHAT HAPPENED!!!. I have been going to joses for over 20 yrs and yesterday we ordered out.. the worst food i have ever had from there , the meat had no taste, at alllllll…tasted just like plain hamburger and it was not hot..not sure if you all are having someone else prepare your food, but I am very very disappointed in the food for the price..use to be the best place to get good , seasoned mexican food, actually when i came back to michigan i could not wait to hit joses, now I am done..no taste bland, and expensive for the food quality, try another cheese maybe..soooo disappointed..will have to go else where …thanks for the many years of good food but your quality has lacked..the last couple times..quality brings ppl back and taste..had neither, plus a smile and a welcome from your waitresses that take orders is nice too they act like they are doing you a favor to serve you..nope..putting joses to rest..

The best Mexican food in town!. I have been eating at Jose’s for over 30 years and it is hands down the best Mexican food in GR. The enchiladas have no equal anywhere. My absolute favorite in GR!

Jose;s. I have been away a long time and returned to want some good ole Joses, and I did , at first was a little salty for my taste, comming from the west coast, but hey now..its like i never went with out it, my family and I eat there at least 2 times a month or order out…so not sure what ppl are saying about bad food, maybe not to there taste but bad…no..if you like it you like it if you dont you dont, as for me and my fam…we are diggin on some JOSES..Thanks for being a hometown favorite JOSES.

Gross.. Not remotely authentic. We ordered the tostadas, enchiladas, a steak torta and a wet burrito. The sauce used for the burrito and enchiladas was cumin-spiked poultry gravy and the chicken is pre-formed frozen garbage. Also, I’m pretty sure they used American cheese. This place makes school lunch look gourmet. If you’re looking for good Mexican food, look elsewhere.
