It’s Steak ‘n Shake, I’m assuming most people that live by one have been to one but just in case you haven’t I’ll make this a more lengthy review. Steak and shake is a a tiny step better than McDonald’s except because they provide you with horrible table service it costs you more. The burgers are usually good, hard to mess that one up and their other stuff is mediocre.This time I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with their Cajun fries and a side salad. Our server seems a little more attentive than I am used to which is nice. As you can see in the pictures the have a hard turn cleaning, maybe some of their employees have broken arms or don’t have elbows. Most likely the management sucks and doesn’t know how to train their employees to clean properly and regularly. It looks like they mopped the dinning and bathrooms after picking up all of the grease from the kitchen. Also sanitizer is not a cleaner. Check out the high chairs, there is literally a layer of sticky gunk on it like an all varnish, maybe it darkens with age too ;)Our table top is clean but clearly the salt shakers and dessert menu is not, that so disgusting I didn’t even want to touch it. Just think if it’s this nasty out here, how bad is the area that customers don’t see?At least the soap dispenser in the bathroom was full :)I got my salad with my burger which probably should have came first cause now i will be eating it last. Apparently I paid extra for Cajun fries but the season tastes a lot like the bottle of seasoning that is available at the table.Server seemed nice though as she dropped one of our knives on the floor and then remarked well you don’t need that anyways :/All in all its cheap fast food, about as dirty as most McDonald’s but if that’s what you are looking for then come on in. Btw most other locations in Grand Rapids, I’ve been to them all, are about the same. To be honest we stopped going here and we have other 24 hour places in town that are much better and are about the same price.
