I went to this place for their Dim Sum. The variety to pick from was decent, but the food was room temperature when it reached our table. Besides that, I just didn’t care for the food. Will not be going back.
Poor customer service! I called before coming there to see if they had honey bbq pork for take out because we were going to have some people over. The person on the phone said yes, it will be available when they are opened. Came to the restaurant and turns out it wasn’t ready yet. Then, a person working at the front said it will be available in 15 mins. Okay, I browsed around the Vietnamese supermarket for a little bit and came back 20 mins later. I asked the same person if is it done yet. She goes into the kitchen and comes back out and said no. I asked how much longer would I have to wait. She said she doesn’t know…Then she said the chef told her not to ask him again….What kind of customer service is this?! Waste of my time! I didn’t even get an apology!
Disappointed. Moved to Midwest last year and I have been searching for a good dim sum place to eat. I went there last Saturday with the bias opinion because I’m spoiled with great dim sum places in east coast where I was living for 35 years. However, I don’t need to have a boss opinion because the first three dishes I got were cold….really?! The turnip cake was cold and dry. No oyster sauce…in NYC they pan sear them and drizzle the oyster sauce on top. The stuffed eggplants were so cold that the brown sauce were like jelly. The only dish that was decent is the congee, which you have to order it from the menu which was served hot….yeah….ahhh I did get the suimei which was warm but soggy from sitting in the cart for too long. A good dim sum place needs to have high turnovers to keep the food fresh. This place prepare the dishes early and wait for them to be sold. You can tell the food have been dit around for awhile. Going to to NJ/NY this weekend. I will need to get my dim sum fix when I’m back.

Super delicious. You have to go get DimSum there. It is just amazing. It is very busy on Sunday, but it makes sense since the food is so good. And the people are super kind. Prices are good too, but if you go in a group it is probably better since you can try everything. Please go, you won’t regret it.
Not Bad….. Having had Dim Sum in bigger cities like Chicago, LA, SF and abroad, I could say the WeiWei’s Dim Sum are comparable. Its great having them in Grand Rapids contributing to the culture of the city. I recommend the place.My only suggestion is for them to improve the aesthetics of the surroundings and the building since they share it with a few other businesses.
Authentic dim sum in Grand Rapids. A pleasure to find authentic dim sum in Grand Rapids. Good food, good service. The first trip to a new dim sum place is always a bit challenging as one figures out what all the really good dishes are. Enjoyed: eggplant, Chinese broccoli, bao, steamed dumplings.Will definitely go back.
