I had a vegetarian banh mi and it was incredible! However, I wouldn’t recommend choosing the veggie chips as a side. They were stale and $1.50 extra.

Amazing Restaurant, Food, and Service!. First time at Bona Sera last night (November 14). The menu offered a plethora of choices. Our server was prompt, attentive, and informative about menu choices. I would give the dining experience a 5 out of 5……and definitely try the gelato — made on-site – wonderful!

Porcetta bahn mi is a beautiful thing! Along with everything else they do. Wow!

Just Good Cooking. Because of its name, one might think that Bona Sera is strictly an Italian restaurant. Though they do Italian spectacularly well (and without resorting to old standards, such as plain lasagna), the menu is broad and innovative. For lunch in November, I had a homey Italian special, rice balls in tomato sauce (I forget the Italian name). Sounds mundane, but it was ultracrispy, perfectly spiced deep-fried rice balls stuffed with cheese in an intensely tomato-ey sauce, also expertly herbed. It was divine.I haven’t had a chance to go back ( I live in LA, but visit the area about every two months), but I will return the first chance I get.Friends who are able to visit Bona Sera more frequently than I say the menu is broad, ranging from Italian to Vietnamese, but consistently excellent. I can’t wait for my next excursion.

Great Eats. What can I say. This is my new favorite place to eat. Fun casual atmosphere, great creative food and menu for a good price $7-8 for most menu items. The Tom Yum Shrimp and Grits is a must as well as the Bhami sandwiches.

Try this!! Ypsilanti, Michigan. I have had the joy of eating at Bona Sera two Saturdays in a row. The first time was a special dinner of steak and scallops. The best scallops EVER! Our group shared carrot cake and a few salted caramel gelatos. The following Saturday, I had the beef taco with an Asian twist. These chefs know how to marry different flavors. Each of our many dishes have been memorable. The interior is quirky, innovative and inviting. The art on the walls is interesting. The people are interesting. Do not miss the chance to enjoy yourself at Bona Sera. Yummy!! And they will do their best to adapt your meal to your own special need.

Outstanding!. In area on business from Oklahoma City. I am a bit of a foodie and Bona Sera definitely did not let me down. The chicken wings and slaw were top shelf! Very well done. I will be back. The local artwork collection was worth the trip in itself. I’ll be saving up for one of the works from some very talented local artists.Definitely one to put on your must do list!!
