I’ve been looking for a Mediteranian place around here and Eagle’s kabob was open one night after class. I was starving and I had cancelled a jimmy johns order b.c it was not so freaky fast. I stopped in and was amazed at the prices which are around $2 less than any other around. Welcoming staff and quick food made me a happy boy that night 🙂 Will be a repeat customer for sure!
Worth a try. I ate lunch at this place twice the first week it opened, and I was impressed with both visits. I had the falafel sandwich with a side of tabouleh. They have a relatively inexpensive lunch special. Both times the falafel and other components of the sandwich were fresh and flavorful. I would order this again, and the restaurant is located close to Eastern Michigan University, which makes it an easy choice for people on campus often. For me, the real test of a middle eastern restaurant is the tabouleh salad, and Eagle’s Kabob gets it right. The salad is the right blend of citrus, tomato, parsley, and mint. It is relatively light with the grain, which I like. The lemon slice used to garnish the salad was not especially impressive (kind of forlorn), but the salad itself was delicious. It’s difficult to too strongly recommend a restaurant that is new and that I’ve tried just two times. But this is a place to keep an eye on–a great choice for something fast, convenient, and fresh.
