I’ve been going to this place since I was in middle school, and made special plans to hit Lai Wah before going back to college out of state. The food is pretty good, a lil spendy for what it is. Sesame chicken is great. Wontons and pot stickers are very good. My favorite part is the Boss. She gets your food hot and without inane conversation. Heaven help you if you’re disruptive in there. She will read you like a book. I’ve seen a few rude costumers given a blank stare of death until they left. I love her.
Never Again. We ate there for the first time last night. I had read the reviews about the crabby lady working there and thought that the good food would be worth it. How bad could she be really? Well, it was not worth it! She uses one or two words at most. Drops your food on the table and rushes off. The food was average at best. The rice was so over cooked it was mushy. The portions were on the smaller side and the prices were high. The bathroom could use a good cleaning and the atmosphere was just ok. Top that all off with her terrible attitude …I can not believe she is still in business. There surly are better places to spend my hard earned money!

The guy is great. The food is pretty good too. However, unless you want to be on the receiving side of a sadist, don’t go there. The woman is like the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. She told a coworker that Chicken Vegetable was not a lunch special when it is clearly on the menu. She told me I did not tell her I wanted the lunch special version, but I clearly did. When I tried to help her remember, she just got louder. Then another customer came in and asked for a lunch special, she turned to me and said that customer got it right, implying why can’t you? Funny I never had this problem when the guy took my order. He even said thanks for coming in. Luckily there are several other Asian restaurants nearby.
Food is fabulous but seriously, the lady owner needs to learn to smile!!!
Best Chinese food. This place is soooo good. they make their own sweet and sour sauce from scratch. you have got to try it. the seasme chicken and cream cheese puffs (with the sweet and sour sauce) are my favorites. you won’t be disappointed.
