Been there many times in the evening for a burger and beer as it is within walking distance. I have always had slow service-always, always.

Nuthin’ Special. Just your standard neighbourhood tavern-type place. Reasonably good selection of beer, a few ordinary wines, a menu heavy on fried food and other filling things of limited nutrition. Pleasant enough — take a few friends along and you’re guaranteed a good time, but then you would also have as good a time on a picnic in the park, just not as convenient. Most of the food is from supplier-packs: the fries are straight out of a bag, as are the pork dumplings. The steak sandwich was good — fatty, juicy, cooked correctly — until I hit that wedge of gristle in the middle. Reasonably good service, too, and the prices are about right. The specials are genuinely special, price-wise if not quality-wise; and when the weather’s good and the traffic dies down on Central, the patio’s a nice place to be.

Took a long time to get our food but not bad. Omelets are good (would prefer fresh mushrooms). Lots of vegetables in mt build your own omelet.

Old Piper Inn. What can be said about a place that has been around Blaine for 20 plus years. They must be doing something right and they are. Everything they make is fresh. Watch for the Noon Specials, like for the Ribs, They are great. Breakfast, you will find many menbers of my Church there. plus I come over now and way to much to eat for me on some meals. If a problems happen, they will do everything in their power to fix that, one problem in 20 plus years is not bad.
