Met a friend here for lunch, I was blown away by the upscale look of the restaurant and bar area. Waiter was great, asked his recommendation on what I should get. He recommended the Molcajetes, and I was not let down. Huge portion, and some great flavors made this dish something i will be back soon for! My friend got the fish tacos, and he said they were some of the best he has had. Excellent service, clean, quick and nice atmosphere.
We enjoyed this spot. The Fajitas for two came with the largest amount of meat I’ve ever had in any order of fajitas. The service was excellent. The restaurant is much larger and more upscale decor than I would have thought from the outside. I would say it is worth a try if you are in the area.
This place is pretty much what I’d expect to find if Perkins or Denny’s changed its format to Mexican, complete with laminated, spiral bound, picture menus. A lot of people like Perkins, apparently, as they seem to do a good business. Several people over on Yelp like San Jose, too. We visited with a Groupon and had very dull food. Shrimp tacos that were basically some shrimp in a tortilla, and a beef and chorizo dish without much flavor. Atmosphere, cleanliness, etc. were fine. Not our kind of place, but maybe yours.There is a chain in the southeast US with the same name. This may be a new franchise of theirs but as of 10/2014 it is not listed on their web site.
