We came here for drinks and appetizers after a day of shopping. The drinks were really good I highly suggest the pear fizz. The spicy spinach dip was good but nothing remarkable and if you get it Id suggest skipping the seedy crackers and just use the pitas for dipping. The service was friendly but a bit slow. The following day we came here for supper. The service was quicker this time but the food was very disappointing. I ordered the 18 ounce bone in ribeye to share and when it came out there was absolutely no seat on it whatsoever. When youre paying $50 for a piece of meat it should be cooked perfectly. For the sides we ordered the mashed potatoes which were good and the Brussel sprouts which were a bit bland. The only redeeming thing about this meal was the dessert which was so amazing. We ordered the flourless espresso torte and the raspberry cheesecake. Both were made in-house and so rich and delicious. I would never come here for food again but dessert and drinks I would.
Sublime. First visit to Bloomington Chop House, w a Living Social voucher for 3-course dinner w wine. The evening was sublime! Started with the cheese-plate app to share, paired w a glass of nice ros. Followed w a salad course: spouse enjoyed a Caesar while I selected the beet and blue cheese salad. Both salads were delicious, very fresh, generous, and accompanied by red wine. For entres, spouse chose pork tenderloin and I had steak. Both cuts were cooked to perfection, accompanied by nicely seasoned fresh root vegetables, and a glass of full-bodied red wine Our server, Gayle, was very friendly, efficient, and helpful in guiding our choices. Would definitely return. The restaurant is conveniently located in the Bloomington Hilton at Hwy 494 and France Ave.
