I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews but was pleasantly surprised. The build your own bowl with cilantro lim basmati topped with salmon was excellent ($15.95) as was the lemon garlic chicken ($14.95). Right sized lunch portion. The presentation was nice and the food tasted as good as it looked. My only concern was that service was a bit slow given the small number of patrons. We will be back.

I dined here recently with my husband and toddler over the lunch hour on a Monday. We were greeted and seated promptly. The hostess was friendly and accommodating of our stroller. We didn’t have to wait long for our server to arrive at the table and take our drink order. I couldn’t make up my mind between two drinks and asked his recommendation. Which I then ordered (a margarita) and was very happy with. We decided to start out with the calamari, which was brought out in a very timely manner. The calamari was cooked well, not over cooked and chewy.. Or soggy and greasy. We enjoyed our drinks and the appetizer before moving on. We then ordered a second round of drinks and our entrees. Unfortunate our food came out before our drinks. Maybe our server got busy and forgot about the drinks sitting at the bar. We were extremely disappointed in the timing of things- as we like to enjoy our second round while waiting for our entrees. Oh well, life goes on. I got a sunomono salad with octopus, which I thought was only ok. I wouldn’t order it again and I did not finish the octopus. It was overcooked and too chewy to enjoy. Too bad, I love octopus when it’s prepared right. My husband got the jambalaya. He made his decision on the entree before we ordered our app! He was really feeling it! But what a sad disappointment it was. After it was brought to us, we had to laugh. It was played like a Chinese food dish, with a perfectly round pile of white rice in the middle of the plate, surrounded by the rest of the ingredients. And then they sprinkle seasoning on the rim of the plate so it looks like a child played the meal. I’m sorry to say this! We have had many great meals here. Upon tasting the dish we observed the following- the rice tasted like the coconut rice mentioned in a different menu item and did not pair well in a jambalaya dish. And the sauce had to have the same sauce as they use in the flatbread with little or no alterations. The dish was overall weird and nothing tied in together. And there were langostinos on the plate at all. We will steer clear of those two dishes in the future. We by no means are writing this place off, as I said before we have enjoyed countless trips here.

Passing the Buck. I’ve been a server for most of my life and I appreciate the hard work that all servers do and the sometimes difficult nights that everyone has, however I think that a good server should always take responsibility for his or her shortcomings. When we were at Crave on friday night, (sept 26, 2014) in a group of 10, our server Lilian brought a dish to one of the ladies that wasn’t what she ordered. She blamed it on the kitchen and then told her that she should just eat the one she brought her while the other one was being made. My sister in law, also a server, said it’s ok, I’ll just eat this one, because by the time my dish comes, everyone will be done eating. So she did and though the dish was good, she said that if she had ordered it, she would have asked for no cilantro. But not wanting to ruffle any feathers, she just ate it, making a little pile of cilantro on a corner of the plate. When the bills came (GRATUITY INCLUDED – 20%), she got charged for the meal that she ate – which was more expensive – and which also tells me that it was, after all, the servers fault, having punched in the wrong item in the first place.I complained to her saying that I couldn’t believe she was actually charging her for her meal and the server then said: oh I’ll give her a discount so she’s paying the same as the other one she wanted – or something to that effect.Lucky for Lilian that the gratuities were included and she can just brush off her night, walk away with about $60-$80 for one table of 10 and never see us again. Not so lucky for Crave, as we will NOT be coming back and will make sure to tell all our friends, that even though the food was kind of average, nothing to write home about, the service was terrible, irresponsible and deceitful. Rule #1 of serving: never, ever pass the buck, then expect your customer to pay for it. It shows.

Less than what i expected, no return. The food and service do not match the prices they charge. Food was so so and service was challenging. I asked the waiter Murry if if was busy thinking that he was overwhelmed by customers, he said no it was actually slow. Puzzling to our table considering we tried to flag him down to get his attention. It was ok but We will not return. We did have a wonderful meal and time at a same price level competitor in the same mall.

Gustatory. Two nice eating experiences in one weekend. Consistent satisfaction.

Food was fantastic, service was average. The manager did make it around to see how my experience was, but the wait to be waited on and the lack of check ups for drink refills was lacking. Good ambience and wine list though.

Amazing Waitress Helen. My husband and I had gone to Crave @MOA as part of our week long Anniversary Celebration and besides enjoying my delicious Sea Bass, my husband and I were extremely pleased with the excellent service we got from our waitress Helen. Beyond just being friendly, she goes the extra mile to see that we are still enjoying our stay and always with a warm smile. With so many restaurants in the Mall Of America, and we go to many of them, I will have to say that our experience tonite, with Helen as our waitress, stands at the top of our list. Thank you to Crave and thank you Helen
