  Definitely much better than I expected, very good seasoning. Dishes were flavorful with curry and chilies adding a kick of spice. Service was decent silverware was dirty so keep to the chop sticks. Overall good experience I would definitely come back.

  I am impressed with their Szechuan style food. The beef tongue in chili sauce was my favorite followed by the pork ears in chili sauce. I learned that I am not as fond of mala sauce. The minibuns I had were good but not great. The greeter at the door was less than receptive, but the food made up for his errant ways. On my next visit I will try the pork stomach in chili sauce and the beef tendon in chili sauce. This restaurant brings me back to the time I spent in Hong Kong dining out with local friends and colleagues. These are fond memories and I am fond of this restaurant.27 Dec, 20142. Ma la Pork Tripe. I ordered this with Mala sauce instead of chili sauce. I now know I prefer chili sauce. The texture of these morsels were the mildly chewy just as I’d expect them to be. This dish would be a knockout with chili sauce.27 Dec, 20143. Ma la Beef Tendon. This dish was not my favorite. The tendon was sliced perfectly and the texture was spot on. The difficulty I had with the dish stemmed from the Mala sauce which I had never previously tasted. I learned that I prefer the chili sauce over the Mala sauce. That said, none of this dish will go to waste. It still worth giving this dish a shot.27 Dec, 201410. Beef Tongue in Chili Sauce. Phenomenal! The tongue was super tasty and tender. Flavor was spot on! The ties it all together. I could easily serve this dish to my friends and they would have no idea the were eating beef tongue. The two pepper level spice in the menu adequately describes the heat. A must order.27 Dec, 2014Steamed Mini Buns. These weren’t perfect, but they are still tasty. I’ve been spoiled with the minibus of Taiwan. The wrap on this minibus is perfect, not to thick and not too thin. These mini buns are fairly juicy but nothing like I had while I was overseas. They did not come with a Chinese soup spoon as is customary. The sauce with these did not have enough vinegar and was a little too sweet for my liking. This is not a spicy dish. It’s actually a Shanghainese dish. I commend Grand Szechuan for having it on its menu. I’ll be offering them again on a future visit.27 Dec, 201411. Pork Ears in Chili Sauce. This The name may not be appealing but the taste is outstanding. It instantaneously brought me back to my years in Hong Kong and the dinners I would have with local friends and coworkers. The heat on this dish is mild. I recommend trying this dish.

  Awful.. This was my first time going to Grand Szechuan and I can honestly say I’m disappointed. The food was salty and cold when we finally received it but it was the service that ruined the night. We sat there for a good portion of the meal just trying to get utensils. We saw our server once when he took our order and that was it. Any request we had was carried out by our bus boy, not our server. We left a GENEROUS tip for the service we received but before we even left our seats the server came up to us and told us it was a bad tip and prevented us from leaving until we gave him more. I work as a server and that was probably the worst job performance I have seen. Extremely rude and made everyone at the table uncomfortable–needless to say, we will not be returning.
